After being nominated by their managing director, sisters Katie and Julianne (Team Peak) are taking part in the Bupa Birmingham half marathon on October 19th on behalf of Fleet Innovations.
The girls are looking to raise in excess of £500 for Kemp Hospice, Kidderminster which is a charity close to both of their hearts.
Kemp Hospice offer specialist care and support to patients, families and carers who are dealing with life limiting illness and bereavement. They help people to maintain their independence or support adaption to changing abilities so that they can live their lives to the full for as long as possible.
Julianne said ‘We really appreciate life and the importance of being happy so when this opportunity came up to raise money to make other people enjoy their final days of life with happiness and contentment we jumped at the chance.’
Katie was given the opportunity to see the amazing facilities at Kemp Hospice and saw first hand where the money they will be raising helps.
After being shown around the facilities Katie commented, ‘Kemp Hospice is a fabulous charity and we are glad that we can be of help and give something back to the local community.’
If you would like to sponsor Team PEAK to allow Kemp to continue with their tremendous work please visit the just giving website www.justgiving.com/Katie-Julie-Fleet-Innovations.
And if you didn’t need any more reason to do so Fleet Innovations Managing Director, Alex Baker, has promised to take part next year if the girls meet their target, and even thinks he will beat their time!
